About Cartoonist Dan Collins

Dan was born in 1954 in Canton, Ohio. He moved to Orrville, Ohio in second grade where he lived until he left for college at Ohio State University. He studied there for two years before transferring to Columbus College of Art and Design. He left after a year to become a professional cartoonist and has continued so to this day.
Dan has been published in the United States and throughout the world in magazines, newspapers, e-books, greeting cards and in advertising and marketing. He has two children and is married to his wife of 39 years. He still lives and works in Ohio.
In his spare time Dan likes to fish and is a member of the Central Ohio Muskies Inc. chapter 41. He likes to play fingerstyle guitar in the style of Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Marcel Dadi and Tommy Emmanuel. He also has raised orchids since 1976.
He's a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church and sings regularly in the choir. He also helps with Habitat for Humanity in the Walls Build program.
